Training Program
Our world-class training program makes it possible for our hair stylist to uphold services to the highest standards possible. There is a class for every service we offer. Our curriculum builds on foundational skills with increasingly challenging techniques introduced upon mastery of prior training. Training includes step by step instructions and live demonstration of our Founder Lisa Weller's signature techniques. Considerations are made to address how to approach different hair textures, health states and head shapes, to name a few. Hair stylists practice service on mannequin and are assessed by performing the service on a live model. Incoming licensed cosmetologists start as apprentices and are promoted to higher level stylists through training, proven proficiency, years of experience and client demand.

Apprenticeship Program
Licensed hair stylists at Twirl Salon begin their career in our apprenticeship program as an apprentice. This paid role validates that our hair stylists can perform essential services on par with our salon standards. Apprentices are responsible for maintenance duties such as sweeping and inventory, and receive free, hands-on training. They have the coveted opportunity to observe and assist our founder and highly qualified team of hair stylists in providing elevated hair and makeup services.
Once the apprentice has demonstrated they can perform a blowout, hot tool style, gloss application, and chemical treatment, they are promoted to the floor as an Emerging Hair Stylist and can begin taking their own paid clients. The pace of this program is entirely dependent on the effort and skill level of the individual. On average, our apprentices commit 1-2 years to complete the program.
